Use the search facility and:
  • Find a copy of M1215 service bulletin (There are copies of it on this forum I believe) and if it applies to your machine buy the new nut for $40.00 and replace it your self.
  • find a thread that tells you how to check the "Fall away". Adjust it your self.
  • Find a new service department.

NR07...Go up to my videos and watch the video on how to tight the sterring head nut.

It shows the the correct star nut you need to tighten down.

I also have a fall-away check there to...I hand made the tool and it is easy to make.

Follow the instruction manal and watch the videos and see if this will help you out.

If you do not have the new nut it is okay to use your old one...you just have to tighten the correct star not.

I would recommend getting the new nut. It makes life easy when check the fallaway.

Managed to get rid of my front end clunk only to still have brake pad clunk.
Think that next time I replace the pads I'll also replace the pad retaining pins.
