What lead you to buy your V-Rod?

I was shopping for a Beemer or a Yammy, and stopped in the local Yamaha dealer.. The Service Mgr had a V-Rod, and told me it was the best bike made, even let me take it for a spin (he knew me for a long tome). 2 weeks later, I owned one! The sales dept at the Yammy dealer was not happy!

And as far as being a biker site... I ask anybody who says that if they would ride with some asshole who pisses off somebody at every gas stop or makes a scene about shitty service at every place you stopped for a bite to eat?

I fell in love with them in 02 - after I sold my FJ1100 - love the style - look, and the ride - especially with the 240mm on my DX....

The Chevy dealer in Napa had an anodised '02 on the showroom floor for display purposes only. The owner bought it to make his showroom floor more exiting. When I saw it I had to have one. Never bought a Chevy.

I've had many imports before purchasing my first HD, a 98 Softail, sold that one for a 2004 Heritage, loved them both but always missed the horse power and over all performance SOME of the imports offered. The V-Rod had it all, Horse power, handling and a LOAD of friggen style Besides, every swingin dick on a bike nowadays has a "regular" HD, its nice to hear "WOW thats a nice bike again"

had been looking to go in a different direction than my bmw R1100RT. Saw a V-Rod on the street near my house right around that time. It was an X model. had never seen a v-rod at all before. love at first sight, had to have one. did a little checking and saw the DX after that. then it was both love AND lust at first sight. done deal.
