Test drove my buds SE and fell in love on the spot, couldn't persuade him to sell, so searched for about a year and finally found me an 05 VRSCSE for a good price. Now I have it all, Hot looks, Good Comfort, and SPEED for days. It's nice to smoke 600 Rice Rockets ever now and then. 8) |

I was at bike AZ in 2004 and the Night Train I had reserved to rent was totalled the night before. They told me they had a vrod left. Not wanting to lose out on riding I said ok.They rolled out a brand new B model with Reinharts and it was all over!!! Came home from bike week and bought mine a few weeks later!! Now it looks nothing like it did when I brought it home!!

We were going to Milwaukee for the H-D 100th celebration and my husband refused to let the Yamaha go along. He told me that my choices were to ride his V-Rod or drive the motorhome. I rode the V-Rod and fell in love. I convinced him that he would be happier with an Electra-Glide and I took the V-Rod. I've turned the '02 into a bagger for road trips and grocery runs and added an '08 VRSCAW anniversary to the stable. |

The V-Rod series is the only Harley that has the potential to do that. I put a Trask Turbo w/ intercooler, Thundermax tuner, and a airshifter on my Night Rod and it gets the job done. |

Every road is a Great Cut Join Date: Sep 2009 Location: Corpus Christi, TX Bike: 2010 VRSCF Posts: 14 | Simply awsome! I'd been eyeing the V-Rod models for a few years at the local H-D dealer. When the Muscle came out and my wife and I were at the store for a HOG event, I commented to her "I'll have one of these some day." Of course she snickered knowing the cost was out of reach. Never the less, over the years taking advantage of "opportunities" that came my way that combined a good bike and a good price, I've had a few H-D's. Back in August this year, I had two of them. I was at a MA H-D dealer to check out a job opportunity. After all of the interview stuff was over with, I started browsing the showroom. Of course the salesman was anxious to assist and lead me to view the type of bikes of my preference. Not finding anything that sparked my interest, I was walking out when I asked if they had any V-Rods. The salesman promptly responded saying that one had arrived just the day before and that they had the honor of being the 1st dealer in New England to get this new model. It was a 2010 Muscle in Denim Black. It had simple sleek uncomplicated lines and a color that I didn't have to worry about scratching while under my care. The turned out dual mufflers and wide rear tire, the simplified air scoop and lowered, sleek air box all appealed to me. It was just what I had been looking for. He offered for me to ride it, which I quickly accepted. The test ride revealed this V-Rod's awesome power and quick acceleration plus the small New England winding roads allowed me to try out it's handling. The machine took each corner with controlled ease and allowed me to push my cautious limits with each new corner. Although I knew the machine had much, much more corning ability than I was allowing myself to release on a brand new H-D that wasn't mine. Never the less, by the time I returned to the dealer, I was sold! After some negotiating we arrived at an agreeable price. I traded in one of my existing rides and sold the other on the open market. I haven't regretted the decision and simply love the ride, cornering, looks and of course, love the power and acceleration. |
